Regular meeting of SBIG called to order at the Veterans' Hall at 5:10 pm by Dave Jewel

In attendance:

Approval of Minutes

The Minutes of the December 11, 2006 meeting were accepted.

Treasurers Report

Dotte Kreowski submitted Profit and Loss report for January – December 2006 as follows:

Total Income $1400, Total Expenses $708.76, Current Balance $691.24.

Digital Speed Indicator

Dennis Delzeit, City Engineer, reported that two signs would be installed on Shell Beach Rd., one by the school and one by Montecito.

Public Safety

Joe Cortez, Chief of Police, encouraged the use of the non-emergency phone number 773-2208 to report any neighborhood occurrence of concern.

Business Improvement Group (BIG)

Molly Montgomery made a motion seconded by Suzie Fulton, that the SBIG join the BIG. Approved.

Membership

Marilee Hyman made a motion seconded by Tony Hyman, to establish a budget of $100 for necessary membership committee expenditures. Approved.

Specific Plan

Bernie and JoanSuttle requested inclusion in meetings of the Specific Plan subcommittee.

Agenda items for next meeting:

• Conversion of Art Mesquite property to medical office
• Citizen improvement of Cal Trans right of way between Shell Beach Rd. and the Cal Trans fence.

February 12, 2007, 5:00 pm at the Shell Beach Veterans' Hall.
